Programs Matrices

Matrix Toolkits

The NSBE Canada Programs Matrix is a formalization of the programs that the chapters are currently carrying out. This designates activities into 3 main groups that collectively fulfill the mission to “increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”

Chapters must conduct one program from each of the three categories per semester. A list of the programs and the categories can be found in the Programs Matrix document.

The purpose of the toolkits is to provide chapters with guidelines for each of the programs that are a part of the matrix. This helps in keeping programs uniform and gives chapter a guide on how to proceed.

This toolkit will contain the following:

  1. Name of Program

  2. Category in Programs Matrix

  3. Description of the program

  4. Goals/Objectives of the Program

  5. Necessary resources (Table)

  6. Implementation of the program (Planning, Execution, Follow up)

  7. Best Practices

  8. Metrics for the success of the program (necessary as per the guidelines of the programs matrix)

  9. Appendix
